Shows a large termite hill through which the road has been cut. It is about 15 ft. high and the soil does not change appreciably in the surface layer. The vegetation is varied - contains the red bean in a Sophora like pod, the Dichrostachys nutans. These anthills are large and one is used as a base for the Belgian flagpole. Also used occasionally as the base for a house. [Shantz travel journal, Dec. 16, 1919]
