Shows very large callas, flower stems three feet, flowers 6 inches across.
These flower sellers were rapidly exterminating the wild flowers and certain restrictions have been placed on them - however they collect almost everything since Dr. Marloth found a new species protected by law. Colored illustrations of them are now being prepared to place in prominent position - also near the flower market to enable people to identify them on sight. [Shantz travel journal, Aug. 23, 1919]
