Agaricus Dec 24, 1919 Elizabethville, Belgian Congo

Agaricus forming 3 clumps or clusters, of a type quite abundant about here. One cluster inverted showing white gills & spores, decurrent gills - no veil and scaly stem. Stipes quite commonly branched. 6" ruler in center. [Shantz travel journal, Dec. 24, 1919]
