Old hay stack Oct 16, 1919 Vereeniging, South Africa
Old hay stack has caused succession due to trampling of cattle about the stack. Cynodon incompletus on trampled ground, at right Themeda forskalii, while Eragrostis curvula is more abundant where the stack stood. [Shantz travel journal, Oct. 16, 1919]
