A distant view over this bush is most interesting. It looks much like the California oak forest, with its low trees and heavy moss, but there is no open space below. The wacht-een-bietje (wait a bit) is everywhere and tears clothing and hands alike. This plant may be a zizyphus - but is not what I refer to under that name in the notes.
