Kaffir orange cut open Dec 03, 1919 Kafue, Northern Rhodesia

Kaffir orange, the small type, Strychnos - the ripe one cut open showing seed and pulp. This orange tastes tart but has a very agreeable flavor, unlike anything I have ever tasted. The pulp is yellowish brown and much easier to eat than an orange. It is however necessary to reject the seeds as one does a pomegranate. This fruit is worth a trial - and I am surprised to find it as good as it is. Said to be better than the larger type. This is a small fruit but it also grows larger.
