We are indebted to the Southwestern Foundation for Education and Historical Preservation for their grant. Their grant has allowed us to catalog, preserve and digitize a portion of the manuscripts and broadsides to make these accessible to the world. Their grant will permit us to continue our digitization efforts for this collection.

This online exhibition of selected works from the Morales de Escárcega Collection was made possible by the following individuals:
Verónica Reyes-Escudero, Associate Librarian, University of Arizona Libraries, Special Collections curated the exhibit and provided coordination among the multiple units involved in making the cataloging, processing and digitization of the Morales de Escarcega collection possible.
Carmen Ortiz-Henley, PhD Candidate, Department of English, provided full contextual annotations both in English and Spanish for each of the items selected.
Alain Sho Ikeda, graduate student in the School of Information Resources and Library Science, provided research for the items selected and narratives for each of the historical periods to provide context to the pieces shown.
Sara Hayden, graduate student in the School of Information Resources and Library Science, provided much of the preparation work prior to the selection as well as research for the items selected.
Colleagues in our Technical Services Team, the cataloging and preservation of the Morales de Escarcega Collection would not have been possible in such a short time. University of Arizona faculty, Dr. William Beezley (History), Dr. Martha Few (History), Dr. Stacie Widdifield (Art), and Dr. Michael Brescia (Curator, Ethnohistory) assisted with assessing the materials, in selection and interpretation, and gave informative talks based on materials from the Morales de Escárcega Collection to accompany the exhibit. Dr. Helen Nader assisted in interpreting one of the more challenging colonial period documents.
